People of Elftown, I challenge you to make your pictures MOVE for once!

- The subject can be anything, as long as it doesn't offend anyone
- Entries will be judged by the quality of the animation, rather than detail etc, quality means:
- Smoothness (this generally means more different frames)
- Smooth transition between last and first frame, if there's a loop
- There's a fair amount of action, not just the eyes blinking or something
- Please upload your entries directly to this page, because your house can't handle animated gifs!
- Don't make it too big, 250 kB has to be enough, resize if necessary! (the really really big ones need to be thumbnailed, but I won't disqualify you)
- It must be your own work, of course!
- Entries per person: Unlimited, but remember they will all be considered as separate entries in a poll!

Deadline: January 1st 23:59 (in the last possible time zone)
- Prize: Could be an animated badge or request

Trying to do a bit realistic character animation in a cartoon-style... O_o It makes me think of DDR, dunno why.
Bird modelled and animated in 3Ds Max, then painstakingly taken apart in IrfanView and put together in Adobe ImageReady.

2005-12-19 [Zab]: It's not allowed because animated gifs are not allowed, and they are not allowed because many of them are annoying and most of them random. To still allow people to show non-annoying and not random images, it is allowed to have a non-annoying animated gif in the house, if the owner of the house made it. Maybe a banner for this contest wouldn't harm, but rules always gets wrong somewhere, and if animated banners where allowed, we would be filled with animated, random and annoying banners. :)

2005-12-19 [Zab]: What goes for making a winnersbadge out of the winning entry, it should be ok if the winner writes he/she made the animation. ;)

2005-12-19 [Saffron]: :P yeah, I don't need any credit for my time and hard work anyway! but seriously, in that case it will probably just be a pretty border around the winner's own animation anyway

2005-12-20 [spiritee]: *shakes head* trust me, it's not allowed, unless it's made by yourself. the Herald had an animated badge for the Hunt, very subtle, but yeah, wasn't allowed.

2005-12-20 [Zab]: If they made a winnersbadge, of the winners entry, it should be made by the winner, right? So the winner could have it in the house... :) Or am I completely wrong?

2005-12-20 [iippo]: That badge-out-of-winning-animation would be a handy way for this competition to go around that rule. The winner (=maker of the animation) would be allowed to put it in his/her house, no one else would (no one else wouldn't because they wouldn't be the winner, perfect!) But a general animated badge for this contest isn't allowed. But that winner's animation as a winner's badge-prize would be ok. And all of you can also put your own entries in your houses.

2005-12-21 [Different Realities]: if that is what I am supose to put... then why didn't it show up in the comment box thing?

2005-12-21 [iippo]: Because there is a tag that can be used to block other tags from working, in order to demonstrate the actual code that you are supposed to write. It's like whenever you write it, it will not show up. So if inside the img you write ! u Q t ! (without spaces), you get the code instead of the image showing up.
